Joseph’s Miracle Run, a 5K fun run to commemorate the 200th anniversary of a experimental and successful surgery performed by Dr. Nathan Smith on Joseph Smith Jr. to negate the effects of life-threatening typhoid fever. The event was held at This Is The Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City.
Proceeds from the event go directly to a medical student scholarship at Dartmouth University in the name of Joseph Smith to honor Dr. Nathan Smith, founder of Dartmouth Medical School.
