The Ubbi Dog Toy Bundle brings playful form and smart function together for pets and their people. Designed to be both fun and durable, this set includes a variety of toys that balance soft contours with distinct character. Our team handled the full industrial design which drew from the Ubbi team’s initial from exploration. Our efforts supported development to CMF and DFM, ensuring a cohesive, manufacturable set that fits seamlessly into the Ubbi brand.

IDEATION
Beginning with several early concepts from the Ubbi team, we began by exploring potential forms that would lend themselves to great experiences for dogs and their owners. An innovative discovery was adding a quarter twist in some of the forms so that at least one side would always point upwards, making it easier for dogs to pick them up. The “mobius strip” form also lent itself to some fun surfacing opportunities.
Prototyping
Prototypes were made in hand-carved foam and 3D printed forms to explore the size and proportions in more detail and with beta testing canines. A surprising discovery was that the mobius strip twist allowed the toys to roll in a smooth and unexpected way.
IMPACT
The result is some heavy-duty dog toys that delight dogs and owners alike. The set even caught the attention of Karim Rashid who branded his own signature set. The chomp, tuggle, and Kibbler are ready for anything!
