The Pura Air Freshener was a groundbreaking product when it first launched and continues to be a leading product in the fragrance category. It features a dual fragrance delivery system that can be customized using the Pura app with dozens of propriety fragrances available. Rocketship was retained to work out the mechanical design of the circular concept Pura had developed.

DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURING
Keeping everything packaged inside a circular form was a hurtle that inspired innovative solutions such as the magnetic cover, internal component layout optimization, and replaceable fragrance vials. The result was a complicated electrical system contained in a clean outer housing.
UNBOXING EXPERIENCE
Presenting the device to the customer through packaging was a critical part of the user experience. Revealing the device and then fragrances in a step-by-step experience helps the user understand how to use the product as well as become excited about the possibilities.

Since its launch, Pura has redefined the home fragrance category, with over a million devices sold and a fast-growing catalog of premium scents. As the first smart fragrance diffuser to gain mainstream traction, it has sparked an entire category with a wave of imitators it continues to outpace. Pura continues to lead through thoughtful design, user-centric technology, and strategic brand partnerships. Its success has expanded into new formats, from car and mini diffusers to seasonal scent drops and exclusive collaborations. Pura didn’t just enter the market, it defined it.
